History

ICI-RS was born out of discussion at the time of the 4^th ICI (Paris, July 2008), which highlighted the need for a forum for expert discussion by research active individuals on the research and other needs in our fields of interest.
A first Steering Group was formed at the 4^th ICI: Paul Abrams (Chair), Linda Cardozo, Chris Chapple, Willy Davila, Roger Dmochowski, Rien Nijman, Joe Thuroff, Alan Wein, Osamu Yamaguchi.
In December 2008, the faculty of the 4^th ICI were invited to become founder members of the ICI-RS.
In January 2009, others were invited to apply to become FULL or JUNIOR members.
The 1^st ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 20^th to 22^nd May 2009, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 2^nd ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 16^th to 18^th June 2010, at the Watershead Media Centre.
The 3^rd ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 13^th to 15^th June 2011, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 4^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 5^th to 7^th June 2013, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 5^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 22^nd to 24^th September 2014, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 6^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 10^th to 12^th September 2015, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 7^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 8^th to 10^th September 2017, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 8^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 14^th to 16^th June 2018, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 9^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 8^th to 9^th June 2019, at the Watershed Media Centre.
The 10^th ICI-RS held in Bristol, UK from 6^th to 8^th June 2023, at the Watershed Media Centre.
